Brand Identity
University of the Pacific’s Athletic Department’s previous identity fell short in reflecting their successful athletic program. The department asked us to create a new identity system and wordmark that would capture the excitement, prestige, and power of UOP’s 16 men’s and women’s sports. The main focal point of the system, the “Power Cat,” is fierce enough to work for competitive sports and still appeal to the general public. The wordmark supports and reiterates the attributes of the Power Cat so they can be used separately or in tandem. Both elements of this logo convey the strength and speed of the athletes they represent.
